Hospital Visiting

If your pet has been admitted to our hospital we would like you to follow the following guidelines.

VISITING

Our general patient visiting hours are from 3.00pm to 6.00pm on weekdays and 3.00pm to 5.pm on weekends and public holidays.

We prefer a maximum of 2 visitors at one time for a maximum of 15 minutes.

Remember that some pets, particularly dogs, may become very distressed after the owners leave. If so, we may suggest you do not visit.

QUESTIONS and UPDATES

We will contact you in the morning, at the phone numbers you leave, for an update on your pet's condition and this is the best time to ask questions. You may telephone during the day for updates and we will call you if there are any sudden changes.

If you visit your pet in the evening, the vet may be very busy with the evening consultations, and be unable to answer your questions directly. We will try our best but please be patient and understanding and disturb the staff as little as possible.

It is necessary that one person talks to us and then communicates with the rest of the family, not repeated phone calls to the hospital from different people.

IN THE WARDS

Be very careful opening and closing the door to your pet's cage especially if the pet is on intravenous fluids. Do not give food or medicines unless you fist obtain permission from a veterinary surgeon.

Do not touch any other animals in the hospital, they may be suffering from infectious diseases or even bite you.

We cannot discuss any other hospitalised animal's health with you, but you may ask the owners !

We hope your pet recovers quickly.
