Dante is a female Lesser Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo. She was found on the pavement last year and brought into the clinic.

On examination and x-ray we found that she had a badly broken wing that had become seriously infected. Dr Alex performed a complicated surgery to try and repair the broken bones but unfortunately the damage was too severe and the wing had to be amputated.

She climbs about well in her specially designed cage and she hardly ever falls off her perch. So far she can only say "Hello" but we are hoping to teach her to say " I like bananas" soon.
