DR KATRIONA (TIGER) BRADLEY BVMS MRCVS

Katriona Bradley (Dr Tiger) graduated from Glasgow University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Degree. She worked in a charity hospital in England for two years before coming to Hong Kong. She then worked for the RSPCA for the next seven years before starting the clinic with Gail Cochrane, who was her classmate at Glasgow University. Tiger lives in the hills near the clinic with her family, which includes 4 dogs, 4 terrapins, 1 Hamster and a snake.

DR GAIL COCHRANE BVMS MRCVS

Dr Gail graduated from Glasgow in 1988 along with Dr Tiger. Dr Gail immediately came to HK and worked at the SPCA for nearly 4 years. She then moved to the USA and worked in Los Angeles in private practice while also commuting back to Hong Kong as necessary to work as a locum for the SPCA. Two years later she returned to Hong Kong and worked in private practice for nearly 1 year before starting to work as a consultant for an international animal welfare charity dealing with bears in China. In 1996 she also became the resident vet at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. In 1997 she set up the hospital with Dr Tiger. In 1998 she became one of the founding members of the Animals Asia Foundation. In 2000 she left Kadoorie Farm to take up the full-time position as Veterinary Director in the Animals Asia Foundation to develop and manage their bear Rescue centre in China. In 2007 Dr Gail decided to leave the Animals Asia Foundation and return to helping Dr Tiger run the hospital. Dr Gail lives in the New territories with her family, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 5 parrots, varying number of turtles and a pig.

DR PETER MORGAN BVMS MRCVS

Peter graduated from the university of Glasgow in 2003, after a short time spent working with the UK based charity the PDSA, he moved to Hong Kong in search of adventure. Leaving his 3 cats and Greek Spur Thighed tortoise in the capable hands of his parents, Peter joined the team at Tai Wai small animal and exotics hospital in Febuary 2005.

DR TSANG SEE MUN BVMS, MRCVS

Seems was born and raised in Scotland, United Kingdom. She graduated from The University of Glasgow in 2006 and then worked in a large Tier 3 (RCVS standard) Veterinary Hospital in the UK for 2 years before coming to Hong Kong. Seems joined us in October 2008 to further her small animal medical and surgical skills, develop her interest in exotic pets and also to brush up on her Cantonese. Seems’ family live in Scotland and still look after her most missed dog, Harris, who is now 2-years-old. Outside of work, she enjoys indoor climbing, hill walking and horse riding.

DR MANCY LAU BVSc (Hons) MACVSc (Small Animal Medicine)

Mancy was awarded her BVSc(Hons) form the Univeristy of Queesnland in 1993. She then completed her Masters in Veterinary Science in 2001 and then went on to complete her MACVSc (Small Animal Medicine) in 2003. Currently Mancy has a special interests in surgery and hopes to complete her MACVSc( Small Animal Surgery) in 2011. Dr Mancy grew up in Australia but moved back to Hong Kong 3 years ago so her daughter Yavanna could learn Chinese. It had always been her dream to work more with exotic animals so she joined our Hospital in May 2010. Mancy lives in Sai Kung with her husband Kurt, daughter Yavanna, 2 black cats, one fat ginger cat and a ‘Tenterfield’ Terrier. In her spare time when she is not working, or looking after her daughter, Mancy enjoys hiking and swimming.

DR ZOLTAN SZABO DrMedVet, Dipl.ABVP(ECM), GPCert(ExAP), MRCVS

Dr. Zoltan graduated in 2002 from Szent Istvan University in Hungary. From 2002 he worked in the university hospital which was the biggest multidisciplinary veterinary hospital in Hungary. From 2007 to 2008 he led the Exotic Division of the University Hospital and coordinated the studies on Exotic Animal Diseases. In 2008 he moved to the UK to further his skills and worked in a well respected exotic animal referral centre in London. He received his first postgraduate qualification in Exotic Animal Medicine in 2008 and the second one in 2010. In 2011 after a rigorous and demanding application process and an extensive, two‐day examination, Dr. Zoltan acquired his Diploma specializing in Exotic Companion Mammal Practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) . Dr Zoltan is the co-author of a book about avian diseases, has published twenty articles in international veterinary journals and presented more than thirty lectures at veterinary conferences. Dr Zoltan enjoys working with all exotic pets and was sad to leave his blue and gold macaw in Hungary when he moved to Hong Kong.

Dr JAMES BLANSHARD BVMS

James qualified in 2003 from the University of Edinburgh and spent 3 years in private practice before moving to Hong Kong in 2006. He has worked in several clinics throughout Hong Kong developing his special interest in the medicine and surgery of zoological companion species during this time. In 2009 he was accepted into a postgraduate training position run jointly between the University of Calgary and the Calgary Zoo in Canada. After completing this year long program he returned to Hong Kong and started at Tai Wai small animal and exotics hospital in May.

James is interested in the treatment of all exotic species as well as dogs and cats. When not working he spends his time with his wife, 5 dogs, 2 budgies, 4 musk turtles, 2 guinea pigs and 1 African Pygmy hedgehog
