益智玩具
鸚鵡是很聰明及充滿好奇心的動物，牠們亦十分喜歡交際。空間小，孤獨又空洞的籠子不能讓這些動物發揮其天生的才能。
益智的玩具可以鼓勵您的愛鳥展示牠們的本性行為，在過程中，亦可減少異常行為（如拔掉羽毛或不停尖叫）的出現。現有多種不同形式的益智玩具：
覓食
覓食是許多物種的本性行為，野生鸚鵡每天會花約四至六小時來覓食，而人工飼養的雀鳥卻只會花一小時或以下的時間來覓食。覓食是野鳥日常活動的主要部分，但這卻不屬於寵物鳥生活的一部分。以覓食為主題的益智玩具是專為寵物鳥尋回這原始的生理和心理活動而設的，由於許多寵物鳥只有有限的覓食技能，故遊戲會以簡單的挑戰開始，令雀鳥可以輕鬆地完成。
覓食玩具的玩法與特定鳥類的自然覓食行為非常相似。在地面餵飼的雀鳥如玄鳳鸚鵡會被提供一個覓食盤，碎紙或其他不可食用的物料會鋪滿一個大而平坦的地方，而食品則會零星散佈在這些物料中。雀鳥可以四處走動，尋找食物，如同在野外一樣。對於在樹上餵飼的雀鳥，可將要尋覓的食物掛在籠子及玩樂地方的周圍。
培訓
培訓是一種增強雀鳥技能及提升雀鳥質素的有用方法，亦可幫助其成為更理想的同伴。除了提供精神上的刺激外，培訓也可令雀鳥的日常護理變得更加容易（例如上落培訓有助將雀鳥移入及移出籠子）。
玩具
為您的愛鳥提供多種來自可靠來源的玩具。玩具要不時更換，才可帶來具新鮮感；玩具亦必需使用雀鳥可吞吃的物料來製造，以防雀鳥將玩具吞下。

Training
Training is a useful enrichment technique and it increases the bird’s quality as companion as well. In addition to providing mental stimulation, training can also help to make the bird’s daily care easier (e.g.: step-up training to move the bird in and out of the cage).
Toys
Provide multiple toys from reliable sources for your bird. Change the toys from time to time to provide a new form of entertainment. The toys should be made of “bird safe” materials in case the bird swallows the pieces.
